EMRS promotes holistic development by encouraging students to excel in arts, culture, wellness, and creative expression alongside academics.

• National Kala Utsav 2025

EMRS students showcased exceptional artistic talent and cultural pride at the National Kala Utsav 2025 organised by NCERT at YASHADA, Pune. The event brought together young artists from across the country and provided a platform to celebrate India's rich cultural diversity and artistic traditions.

A total of 26 students from 10 States represented EMRS in various visual and performing art categories. Their outstanding performances earned Third Position in Theatre (Group Category) and Third Position in Visual Arts – Group Category (Indigenous Toys & Games/Local Crafts).

Students of EMRS Karinthalam, Kasaragod, Kerala—Sankeerthana S. P., Anaswara M. R., Akansha Krishna R., and Neeraj M. (Class IX)—secured Third Position in the Theatre (Group) category through a compelling performance that showcased creativity, teamwork, and cultural expression.

Similarly, students of EMRS Ahwa, Dang, Gujarat—Gavli Dhruvkumar Gulabbhai (Class XII) and Gamit Sweetankumar Anilbhai (Class IX)—secured Third Position in the Visual Arts – Group Category (Indigenous Toys & Games/Local Crafts). Their presentation highlighted indigenous craftsmanship, traditional knowledge systems, and the rich cultural heritage of tribal communities.

The achievement reflects EMRS's commitment to holistic education by nurturing creativity, cultural identity, teamwork, and self-confidence alongside academic excellence. Through such national platforms, tribal students gain recognition and develop the confidence to represent their communities with pride.

• National Yoga Olympiad

EMRS students also excelled in the National Yoga Olympiad organised by NCERT.

The EMRS Secondary Girls Team comprising Bhukya Nandini (EMRS Yellareddypet, Telangana), Kalavakuntla Amrutha Varshon (EMRS Pedda Dornala, Andhra Pradesh), Anjali Bhavedi (EMRS Mandla, Madhya Pradesh), and Neha Parte (EMRS Mandla, Madhya Pradesh) secured the Bronze Medal at the National Yoga Olympiad 2023.

Further, R. Nadhini, a Class X student of EMRS Balanagar, secured a Bronze Medal in the Creative Poem Writing Competition at the National Yoga Olympiad 2025.

These achievements reflect the strong focus of EMRS on preserving culture, promoting creativity, encouraging wellness, and nurturing self-confidence among tribal students. B
