The Kaushalya ‘Earn & Learn’ Programme is emerging as a transformative initiative for EMRS students, providing them with opportunities to acquire industry-relevant skills and access employment-oriented career pathways. Implemented through partnerships with leading industries, the programme enables Class XII pass students to pursue a three-year diploma course that combines classroom learning with practical industrial training.
Under the programme, students receive a monthly stipend along with subsidised boarding and lodging facilities, allowing them to focus on skill development and professional growth. Practical training at major industrial centres across the country provides valuable workplace exposure and hands-on experience, preparing students for careers in the organised sector.
During the Academic Year 2025–26, a total of 1,033 EMRS students were selected under the programme. Following the prescribed eligibility criteria, 925 students qualified for employment opportunities at Tata Motors Limited (TML), Pune. The programme has already facilitated the onboarding of 192 students, who have begun their professional journey in the automotive industry.
The initiative serves as an important bridge between education and employment by providing hands-on industry experience, skill development, and financial empowerment to tribal students. Through such opportunities, EMRS students are gaining greater access to professional careers while strengthening their prospects for higher education and long-term livelihood security.
The success of the Kaushalya ‘Earn and Learn’ Programme reflects the growing aspirations, capabilities, and employability of EMRS students and underscores the commitment of EMRS towards creating meaningful pathways for career advancement and nation-building.
